I am no longer posting here (you already knew that). But I just started posting somewhere else. And I also announced my new project there.

So please head over there and get the new feed subscribed (RSS or Email)!

I am going to shut this site / blog down. Which does not mean that I am deleting it or something. I am just no longer posting. And I want you to know that because I hate it if someone writer I am following through RSS is simply not writing anymore but never tells his readers who than have to find out on their own what is going on.

I am not dead I am just busy with other projects. Fist school than my work life and some things which I am not ready to share yet. You can also still browse the archives, stay in contact via Facebook, Twitter, Email or you can check out what I am working on and where I am online at WhereIsChristoph.com.

Maybe I go back to this blog and work on it again sometime in the future. For now I’m out.

The next year will be exiting. Even though I think it will be hard too! Now here goes my plan:

First 6 Month

I am going to focus on School. I have my last final exam June the 3rd. It is a Friday and I am going to be free after 1 PM. But also during those 6 month — next to my studying — my focus is on preparing my life after my Graduation. That includes going more minimalistic — selling some of my stuff. But on the other hand also buying stuff I will need for the time after that. In addition to that it also includes looking for work I can do after my Graduation — I still have to get in enough money to life from. I plan on offering Web-Development and -Design Services, Photography, Consulting and I have some projects of my own to work on.

After Graduation

The first thing I plan on doing after my Graduation is to walk the Way of St. James. The reason for why I want to do this will be an other post. So far: it is a decision I took after 2010th final Exams and I will stick to that decision.

I plan on a short period of coming home time. Than my plans are to process what I have experienced. After that the time is mostly open. I have to get to my goals regarding my income. Currently I calculate a minimum of 2.000€ per month — that can change over the next month depending on what I learn about living on my own. Currently I have the luxury of living with my parents and being supported by them but I plan on standing up and walking on my own feet next year — probably the biggest goal in life!

How I am plan on achieving that income is also an other story. And that brings me to the next headline.

My Plan for THIS Blog

Over the past years this blog has helped me get better in english, it helped me to write regularly — stick to it sometimes more than others — and it helped me understand some things about social networking and the web. I will continue to blog here but the focus will change.

The past years have been mostly about the past of my life, sometimes about tech stuff or news. The past month I started to get to the topic of life style design. Since I am starting to create my own life style this is what the main focus of this blog will be. I want to document my way through that. I know it is different especially as a German but I will do it. I plan on not going to University for now. But to walk my way. To dig my own Hole. Michael Mistretta put that very well at the ending of his post Digging Holes:

As you can probably tell, my hole isn’t very deep yet. I have some more digging to do. You should probably go too.

Having that in min, I am going to dig my hole. And that essentually is what this blog will be about:

My plans, ideas, the concept, what I learn and the results. But maybe more important: the mistakes — hopefully none!

Overall

This is just a part of what I have in mind. There is much more to be reveled! How I plan on getting the income I need and so on. But that my friends is to be written about sometime the comming weeks.

I have a feeling that 2011 will be a blast. So let’s get started!

Looking through the past 30 posts of this month, I discovered that I hold something back. It is what 2011 will be about. I will not break that bond yet. It is about to be revealed but not with this post!

Currently I do not know if I have a core story. I have many believes, some shared with others, some just on my own. I talk a lot but probably the core will be revealed in the story about 2011?

Stay tuned. I am about to change a lot around here — the blog and my life!

Prompt: Gift. This month, gifts and gift-giving can seem inescapable. What’s the most memorable gift, tangible or emotional, you received this year?

Probably I have two this year. The first is that my dad and I, we both got each other the same set of DVDs. The second and the third part of the 3 part series about the ‘Girl with the Dragon Tattoo‘ (Verschwoerung and Verblendung).

The second is the book 4-Hour Body by Tim Ferriss (Aff). The reason why this is important is because I already read 4 Hour Work Week and think it can give me some new ideas about life.

I am about to start reading some sections. Lets see what it has to offer.

Prompt: Defining moment. Describe a defining moment or series of events that has affected your life this year.

Events that affected me the most?! That is not easy. Talks with people affect me often. Things I read online tend to affect me. And podcasts I listen to. Oh and than there are movies which tend to have a deep impact on my thoughts.

But what affected me the most last year are the book The 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss (Affiliate)
and blogs other people writing about the topic of lifestyle design. They have the most impact on how I plan my future and what I plan for it. And this is about what I plan for 2011! A difference. Lifestyle design is most about being different. Changing the approach to achieve a goal. And that is what I am going to do. Change the point of view a little. Try something new. What exactly that will be reviled in the new year!

Prompt: Achieve. What’s the thing you most want to achieve next year? How do you imagine you’ll feel when you get it? Free? Happy? Complete? Blissful? Write that feeling down. Then, brainstorm 10 things you can do, or 10 new thoughts you can think, in order to experience that feeling today.

I have already written at this blog that I am not going to write about next year and what I am going to achieve. What projects I will get my hands on.

All that is not long from being reviled to the public but not yet. This prompt I have to miss!

Prompt: Ordinary joy. Our most profound joy is often experienced during ordinary moments. What was one of your most joyful ordinary moments this year?

It is kinda weird. Because the most joyful might actually be something I complain about sometimes. I have a 1 hour commute to school each morning and afternoon. That is something I complain about often. On the other hand I do not want to change it. It is ok. And I am ok with it.

But the same time there are some of the most joyful moments I have experienced this year. Looking out of the window of the train! Looking at the landscapes around it. To watch the wild animals — mostly roes and rabbits — run over the fields and later in the year to look at the wide white fields. It gives me a nice start into the day, combined with some music it is perfect!

I experience it often that things are very bilateral!
